A cor-ten steel entrance sign for Himatangi Beach, now installed in all its glory.
The brief for this project was to design a new entrance way for the Himatangi Beach community. Something that represented the essence of the community and made the drivers slow down as they approached the small town. Our response was a series of cor-ten steel road signs, positioned at intervals as you got closer to the town. As a series they told an iconic tale of that town and individually represented popular tourist activities.
Our first sign was chosen by the community and can now been see as you enter Himatangi Beach township.
