Black Pepper is a product I designed and made through a prototyping and modelling paper. The brief required two models, a ‘looks like’ model and a ‘works like’ prototype. The ‘looks like’, I made out of gold foam, and the ‘works like’ is made from timber and is fully working. There was a requirement to include a cast component, so I made this is the leaf / capping detail. Could you tell the difference between the two?
